CAMERON + CHRIS’S DESTINATION WEDDING
VENUE: Gray residence, manteo, ncCameron and Chris got married at Chris's family's beachfront property in North Carolina, and I don't think they could have picked a more perfect place to celebrate. Their day was less about sticking to a schedule and more about being present with the people they love. One of my favorite things they did was set aside time for a private, family-only cocktail hour before taking formal portraits. Rather than spending that time lining everyone up for photos, they wanted to actually visit with their family, have a drink together, and enjoy being in the same place with all of their favorite people.
There were oysters, a plane flying overhead with a banner congratulating the newlyweds, and eventually, a whole lot of people jumping into the pool to end the night. It was sweet, a little chaotic in the best way, and so much fun to be part of. Nothing about their wedding felt like they were doing something simply because it was expected of them. Every little detail felt like Cameron and Chris, and I think that's what made it so special. A beautiful reminder that your wedding day really can be whatever you want it to be.
